REKUIEM To Support GOTTHARD In Dudley

September 27, 2007

REKUIEM (formerly REQUIEM),the cult NWOBHM band that was at the very start of the British metal movement alongside such names as DIAMOND HEAD and WITCHFINDER GENERAL, will support GOTTHARD at JB's in Dudley, England on Friday November 16. "This is one of only three UK dates for GOTTHARD on their world tour and REKUIEM are looking forward to the show very much," the group writes on its web site. "Most importantly, REKUIEM will be adding more dates to accompany this throughout November and December and these will be announced shortly. Ticket enquiries for the Dudley show can be made to JB's 01384 253597."

REKUIEM will enter the studio soon to record its new album, "Raise the Dead".

In 1980, REQUIEM issued its first and last single, the self-financed "Angel of Sin" on Sacrificial Records. The single was backed by "Sacrificial Wanderer" and was issued without a picture sleeve. It is now incredibly rare and somewhat of a collector's item for NWOBHM fanatics.

REKUIEM's debut album, "Time Will Tell", was released last year via Majestic Rock.
